Context and Meaning :

It is one of his inspiring speeches. The essay deals with the significance of consideration between thought and action which is lacking among young people. Nehru explains clearly how integration of thought and action is necessary.
He exhorts the youth to be strong in mind and body as success shuns the weak-spirited. He analyses the concept of happiness. Those who are strong in mind and body will lead a happy life. According to him, happiness is an inner state of mind. It does not rely, as many believe, on the outside environment.
He advises the youth to think of the vast opportunities of the world. For that they have keen of mind. Strong of character and fast and nimble of feet. One can meet with failures occasionally but definitely success will come to him in future.
Jawaharlal Nehru, who was close associate of Gandhiji, describes his amazing qualities.  One of the admirable qualities that he had, was to draw out the good in another person though, the other person may have plenty of evil in him.

He concludes that the youth should develop inner urge to do big things and get success. Nehru in his wonderful message to youth reminds that the quality of a nation depends on its young generation.
